Changing the Battery in Your LightTag

Is it Time to Change Your LightTag's Battery?

There are three ways to tell if it's time to change the battery in your LightTag:

1. Your LightTag will not turn on
2. The light ring on your LightTag seems to be much dimmer than normal
3. The light ring flashes purple before it shows you the stage your food is in (teal, yellow, red)

If any of these occur, it's probably time to change your battery.

Good news, though! Changing the battery is easy. The battery replacement type is a CR2450 coin cell battery. 

To change the battery, follow these simple steps:

• Find the notch on the  side of the LightTag and use a coin or small flathead screwdriver to pry apart the top piece and the bottom piece.
• Use the same coin or small screwdriver to gently lift and remove the old battery from the bottom piece.
• Place the new battery into the bottom piece, + side down.
• Align the top and bottom pieces and click them back into place.
• They only fit one way so don't force it if it doesn't go. Check to see you have them aligned properly and try again.
